Stone Brewing was founded in 1996 in San Diego, California by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner, quickly establishing itself as one of the most influential and fastest-growing craft breweries in America. Known for aggressively hopped, boldly flavored beers and an uncompromising attitude toward quality, Stone's IPA and Ruination IPA helped define the West Coast IPA style. Stone operates a sprawling world-class brewery in Escondido, California, and was the first American craft brewery to open a location in Germany. Their motto — 'Fizzy yellow beer is for wussies' — became a rallying cry for craft beer enthusiasts everywhere.
