Not Your Father's Root Beer was created by Small Town Brewery in Wauconda, Illinois in 2012 and exploded in popularity in 2015 when it achieved nationwide distribution. This hard root beer tastes remarkably like the classic soft drink, brewed with a complex blend of spices including vanilla, anise, and wintergreen to create an authentic root beer flavor experience with a 5.9% ABV alcoholic twist. Not Your Father's Root Beer helped launch the hard soda category and remains the benchmark for flavored malt beverages that replicate beloved non-alcoholic drinks.
