Kona Brewing Company was founded in 1994 in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. From its founding, Kona has celebrated the spirit of aloha through approachable, tropical-inspired craft beers that evoke the warmth and beauty of the Hawaiian Islands. Big Wave Golden Ale — their most popular beer — is a light, smooth, golden ale perfect for the island lifestyle. Now distributed nationwide through the Craft Brew Alliance (acquired by AB InBev), Kona brews some of its beers on the mainland while maintaining its Hawaiian roots and identity.
