Harp Lager is an Irish pale lager first brewed in 1960 at the Great Northern Brewery in Dundalk, Ireland — a joint venture created largely in response to demand from Guinness drinkers who wanted a lighter, refreshing option. Named after the harp, Ireland's national symbol, Harp is brewed to be crisp, clean, and easy-drinking. Now owned by Diageo (the parent company of Guinness), Harp Lager is a staple of Irish pubs worldwide and a beloved companion to the Guinness pint, often combined in the classic 'Half and Half' beer cocktail.
