Great Lakes Brewing Company was founded in 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio by brothers Patrick and Daniel Conway, making it one of Ohio's oldest craft breweries. Committed to quality, sustainability, and community, Great Lakes has become a beloved institution in the Great Lakes region. Their flagship Edmund Fitzgerald Porter — named after the ill-fated freighter — is a richly roasted, coffee-tinged dark ale that has won multiple Great American Beer Festival awards. Deeply invested in the Cleveland community, Great Lakes operates one of the country's most comprehensive environmental sustainability programs in craft brewing.
