Founders Brewing Company was established in 1997 in Grand Rapids, Michigan by Mike Stevens and Dave Engbers. After nearly going bankrupt in its early years, Founders reinvented itself by brewing 'beers that we want to drink' — bold, complex, and unapologetically big in flavor. Their All Day IPA pioneered the modern session IPA category and remains one of the best-selling craft IPAs in America. Founders' CBS, KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout), and Backwoods Bastard are legendary barrel-aged releases that command lines and sell out in hours. Partially acquired by Mahou San Miguel, Founders continues to produce world-class beers from the heart of the Midwest.
