Cigar City Brewing was founded in 2009 in Tampa, Florida, a city with deep roots in the cigar-rolling industry — hence the name. Under the vision of founder Joey Redner, Cigar City quickly established itself as one of the most acclaimed craft breweries in the Southeast and the country. Their flagship Jai Alai IPA, named after a beloved Tampa sport, helped put Florida craft beer on the national map with its bold citrusy, tropical hop character. Now part of Oskar Blues/CANarchy, Cigar City continues to push boundaries while celebrating Tampa's rich culture.
